On September 21, 2018, a group of religious figures of Malaysia led by the Mufti of Perlis Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin arrived in Tashkent.
The program of the visit includes a visit to the Islamic shrines of Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, acquaintance with historical and architectural sights of Uzbekistan, meeting with the leadership of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.
