During a phone talk held in the evening of April 12, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed sincere gratitude to the President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the presentation of Turkey's first electric car under the brand name "Togg".
Our President also congratulated the Leader and the brotherly people of Turkey on the great technological breakthrough - the launch of industrial production of modern electric cars in the country.
During the conversation, the current level of Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation was highly appreciated.
The sides pointed out the scope of industrial cooperation between leading companies of Uzbekistan and Turkiye in hi-tech industries.
Particular attention has been paid to the thorough preparation of the meeting of the top-level bilateral Strategic Cooperation Council to be held this year.
The views were also exchanged on pressing issues of regional agenda.
At the end of the telephone conversation, the President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his full support and wished the upcoming referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan to be successful.
