President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has held a meeting with public figures of Karakalpakstan at a culture center in Muinak district.
In accordance with instructions of the President during his last year’s trip to Muinak district, a government program was adopted on the integrated socio-economic development of the area. It envisages the implementation of construction and repair works for 1 trillion 485 billion soums during 2019-2021.
Some time in its history Muinak was famed for its fishing industry. During last year’s trip to the region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev voiced recommendations to revive and promote the fishing industry based on existing reservoirs.
