Japan’s magic art

Ikebana is a traditional Japanese art and means placing cut flowers and branches in special dishes and arranging them according to an interior.

 

Plants, branches, flowers, fresh fruits, leaves, dry grass, soil, sand, stones, glass, water and plastic are used in creating composition of this art. Lines, color and shape are very important.

 

Photo exhibition organized by Uzbekistan Arts Academy, the Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan, Ikuo Hirayama International Caravanserai of Culture present more than 60 photos demonstrating the art of ikebana.
