Issues of opening a Japanese university in Uzbekistan discussed

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan Gayrat Fozilov has met with member of the Board of Governors of Yamanashi Gakuin University, James Yamada, to discuss further practical steps of opening a university in Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed issues related to the creation of a legal framework and development of a roadmap for the implementation of measures to establish a university in Uzbekistan. At the first stage of the university’s functioning, it is planned to establish bachelor and master programs in business, applied technologies, aviation and architecture.
 
Such a structure is initial and will be discussed and agreed with the Uzbek side in the course of further negotiations. It is planned to expand the offered subjects and specialties depending on the preferences of the Uzbek side and the needs of Uzbekistan’s economy.
