On August 29, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Bahman Agharazi Dormani, who is completing his diplomatic mission to Uzbekistan.
The Minister, welcoming the Ambassador, congratulated him on successful completion of four years of activity in Uzbekistan, which was productive and served to strengthen and expand Uzbekistan – Iran relations. Trade-economic, investment ties, and cultural-humanitarian exchanges have intensified.
In January-June 2019, the trade turnover amounted to 213.8 million USD, which is almost 40 percent more than the same period in 2018.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for favorable conditions created for the successful execution of his mission in Uzbekistan.
