An international online meeting was held in Tashkent Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, organized within the framework of strengthening the platform for scientific cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation on “Economic development of countries: the pandemic and its consequences”.
The organizers and experts were the scientists of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and its branches in Tashkent, Minsk, Yerevan and Ulan Bator. Among the participants are the leadership and representatives of branches, government bodies, ministries, agencies, organizations, business partners, employers, scientists, experts, students.
The purpose of the event was to discuss the main directions of economic development of countries in the context of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, to develop a strategy for overcoming the current situation.
Vice Rector for further education and university branches, Doctor of Economics, Professor A. Asaliyev noted that the experience of each state in overcoming the consequences of the pandemic will certainly be very important for all the participants of the event.
Participants discussed issues of the labor market, social policy of the state, socio-economic consequences of the pandemic, overcoming the crisis, preventing a decline in economic indicators, digitalization of society and others.
The final documents and recommendations made at the meeting will become the practical basis for consolidation of scientists from different countries to develop specific measures to support socio-economic development and mitigate the impact of coronavirus on the economy. It is planned to publish a monograph and joint scientific articles.
