Improving the legal framework for international cooperation in Uzbekistan

Scientific-academic circles will be actively involved in international legal activities of Uzbekistan. It was noted at the virtual roundtable discussion dedicated to improving the legal framework for international cooperation in Uzbekistan and promoting national interests in international law.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan jointly with Tashkent State University of Law.
 
First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Farkhod Arziyev informed about activities of the Foreign Ministry in implementing priority tasks in international legal activity.
 
Participants exchanged views on implementation of provisions of international treaties and the state of affairs on the implementation of Uzbekistan's obligations under multilateral conventions and agreements.
 
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the current interaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with TSUL within the framework of the country’s participation in the activities of Hague Conference on Private International Law, UNIDROIT and UNCITRAL was positively assessed.
 
A number of practical proposals were developed following the event to involve University professors and teachers in the work on conducting scientific expertise of international legal documents, as well as in the process of forming norms of general international law within the framework of intergovernmental organizations and structures.
