First meeting of Uzbekistan – South Korean Committee on Agriculture

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul, the parties exchanged views on development of cooperation in crop production, horticulture and vegetable growing, variety testing of crops, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, education and training personnel, water resources and introduction of water-saving technologies; conducting joint research projects; assistance to Uzbekistan in the process of joining the World Trade Organization. The issue of accelerating projects in agriculture and water management, veterinary medicine and animal husbandry, implemented through the KOICA technical assistance was also discussed.

 

Following the event, the dates for the implementation of subsequent joint events were agreed and an agreement was reached to hold detailed discussions on the agenda at the working level, including via videoconference.
