Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As previously reported, a parliamentary delegation headed by Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva is on an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Today, within the framework of the visit, the first business forum of women entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan was held.
The forum was attended by a delegation of women entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan, covering almost all sectors of the country's economy, in particular industry, services, agriculture, handicrafts.
The women entrepreneurs of both countries who spoke during the event noted the importance and relevance of the forum, which undoubtedly became a good platform for exchanging experience and discussing topical problems in developing and building the potential of entrepreneurship in various areas of both countries.
At the end of the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed on the development of bilateral relations between the Club of Women Entrepreneurs under the Commission on the Enhancement of the Role of Women in Society, Gender Equality and the Family and the Association for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.
As a result of meetings held in the B2B format between women entrepreneurs of the two countries, 19 agreements and memorandums worth more than US million were signed.
