The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan jointly with the Representative Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) held a presentation of the investment potential of Uzbekistan, as well as, prospects for development of Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan cooperation in trade-economic sphere.
The event, held under the motto “Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan: new opportunities for trade development”, was attended by Turkmenistan entrepreneurs and mass media representatives.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, during the presentation, held by Ambassador Akmaljon Kuchkarov, special attention was paid to the results achieved within the framework of consistent implementation of the Action Strategy on five priority areas of development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.
It was noted that large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, covering almost all spheres of life, became a powerful incentive for mobilizing creative potential of Uzbekistan people in the process of building a democratic and prosperous state, in which all conditions are created for realization of potential and opportunities of every citizen.
Participants of the event emphasized that assigning to Uzbekistan a sovereign rating with stable forecast by main world rating agencies Moody's, Fitch, S&P is the best recognition of results achieved by Uzbekistan.
The Ambassador also answered questions of participants, indicating the growing interest of business community of the two countries to expanding cooperation.
