Uzbekistan, Israel to increase cooperation in the agricultural sector

TEL-AVIV, February 7. /“Dunyo” IA/. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Plant Quarantine Inspection under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan have held talks with the Senior Vice President for Agriculture Innovation at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel, Michal Levy, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation in agriculture, including the possibilities of innovative interaction, the supply of agricultural products of Uzbekistan to the Israeli market.

The Israeli side was informed about the radical reforms carried out in the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan, the measures taken to improve the activities of farms based on innovative solutions and technologies.

Michal Levy expressed interest in developing joint projects and proposals, taking into account Israel’s best practices in agricultural knowledge and technologies.

An agreement was reached to continue targeted dialogue and interaction in areas of mutual interest, including the exchange of proposals on attracting Israeli partners to the implementation of the AKIS system.
