“Despite the ongoing pandemic, the indicators of mutual trade between Uzbekistan and the SCO countries are steadily growing”, said Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Jamshid Khodjayev, speaking at the forum. – The trade turnover of Uzbekistan with the SCO member states in 2021 increased by 24% and exceeded billion. In the first half of the year, the trade turnover increased by almost 30%.
Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my gratitude for the support of the initiative of Uzbekistan put forward by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the SCO Summit in 2021 in Dushanbe on the approval of the Joint Action Plan for the development of intra-regional trade within the organization for 2023-2025. We expect to adopt the Plan at the upcoming SCO Council of Heads of State in Samarkand.
