Speaking at the forum, Laziz Kudratov outlined several practical aspects of Uzbekistan’s current development stage, which, despite global challenges, have allowed the country to strengthen its position as an investment hub in Central Asia, ensure economic openness, and maintain sustainable growth.
Key topics discussed included trade route diversification, regional economic integration, efforts to join the WTO, and the development of high-tech industries. The forum also highlighted initiatives such as expanding renewable energy sources, green hydrogen production, IT sector growth, investments in infrastructure and free economic zones, and support for digital transformation and innovation.
The minister presented information on Uzbekistan’s favorable investment climate, including the liberalization of foreign investment legislation, adopting a state asset privatization program, implementing digital governance and e-government services, and improving the education system.
As part of the summit, the head of the Uzbekistan delegation met with Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the UAE, Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and leaders of major regional and international companies. Discussions focused on expanding trade turnover, implementing joint investment projects, introducing innovations, and strengthening production ties in key economic sectors.
Overall, there was a positive outlook, trust, and strong interest from UAE business circles in further expanding their presence in Uzbekistan’s market.
