Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and UAE Minister of Economy discussed issues of strengthening strategic partnership in investment and trade

TASHKENT, November 10. /Dunyo IA/. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov has met with UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, within the framework of the agenda of the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of investment cooperation between the two countries.

An agreement was reached on cooperation in establishing interaction between large corporations of the UAE with relevant agencies and companies of Uzbekistan by organizing targeted meetings and negotiations.

UAE Minister of Economy emphasized the priority of strengthening partnership in agriculture, in connection with which the possibilities of creating large joint agro-industrial clusters in Uzbekistan for growing and subsequent export to the UAE market of fruits and vegetables produced in accordance with modern quality standards were considered.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached on implementation of joint measures with participation of representatives of the Emirati and Uzbek business communities to facilitate strengthening of regular business relationship.

The parties agreed to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE in the first quarter of 2021 in Abu Dhabi.
