Sialkot city hosted Uzbekistan – Pakistan business forum dedicated to investment, export and tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Pakistan Furkat Sidikov presented detailed information on the effective results of socio-economic policy of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as on favorable investment climate created in the country, export opportunities, potential in processing raw leather and production of leather goods with high added value.
The sides exchanged views on further strengthening Uzbekistan – Pakistan trade and investment cooperation in leather industry and production of medical equipment. Representatives of Pakistan companies praised the dynamic growth of bilateral trade.
Following the business forum, an agreement was reached on organizing the visit of Sialkot businesspeople to Uzbekistan in September 2019.
