Assignment name: Capacity Building for the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Republic of Uzbekistan (MIFT) - Facilitating Investment in the Banking Sector
Event Description:
This assignment (the “Assignment”) aims at enhancing capacity in MIFT by providing a dedicated professional expert on a short-term basis. The expert will focus on supporting capacity enhancement of the MIFT to enhance attractiveness of the banking sector for investment, including through enhanced governance of banks.
Start Date and Duration of the Assignment: Duration of the support of the Consultant is expected to be 12 months
Supplier Profile:
EBRD intends to select and contract a consultant (the “Consultant”) with the following resources and/or expertise:
Senior to mid-level banking sector expert (an individual expert or an individual expert proposed by a firm) with: (1) strong banking and corporate governance background, work experience in central banks, including track record of developing and, ideally, also implementing corporate governance recommendations in the banking sector; and (2) good knowledge of the EBRD region, preferably also with direct experience in Central Asia; (3) strong interpersonal, leadership and communications skills; (4) good command of English and, ideally, Russian.
