Representatives of the khokimiyat of Kashkadarya region held virtual talks with the leadership of the Dutch company BOM Group. The videoconference was initiated and organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Benelux countries together with the Agency for Attracting Foreign Investment.
Referring to the prospects for cooperation with Uzbekistan, the Export Manager of the company Rob de Wit expressed interest in studying the potential of Uzbekistan market for creating a joint production of modern greenhouse complexes.
Rob de Wit assured that cooperation will not be limited to the execution of a one-time order. According to him, the Dutch side is ready to train Uzbekistan agronomists in technologies for growing fruits and vegetables.
In turn, representatives of the khokimiyat of Kashkadarya region presented the investment potential of the region and expressed interest in developing cooperation in training specialists for the agricultural sector.
The parties agreed to consider the possibility of implementing a pilot project in Yakkabag district of Kashkadarya region with a greenhouse of 1 hectare.
