The event was attended by 32 representatives of the diplomatic corps and 315 businesspeople from 31 countries. At the opening of the forum, the Hokim of the region, J. Rakhimov, presented detailed information about the conditions and legal guarantees created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, as well as the economic potential of Khorezm region. Speakers highlighted the investment attractiveness of the region, in particular the stable development of its economy.
Over the past five years, the volume of foreign investment in the region has increased tenfold, while exports have grown fifteenfold, and more than 200 foreign and joint enterprises have been established. Several agreements were reached at the forum between foreign investors and local entrepreneurs.
The region has great potential for further development in industry, trade, transport, logistics, tourism, ICT, and agriculture. The main goal of the International Investment Forum is to comprehensively strengthen cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and other priority areas.
Within the framework of the forum, which was rich in dialogue and lively discussions, mutually beneficial agreements were reached with several major foreign companies regarding the further expansion of trade, economic, and investment ties.
On the second day of the forum, participants became acquainted with the landmarks of Khorezm region and the activities of industrial enterprises.
