SAMARKAND, April 3. /“Dunyo” IA/. Samarkand hosts International Tourism Conference “Discovering Uzbekistan”, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The organizers are the Samarkand International Airport, the Ministries of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Foreign Affairs, Transport, JSC Uzbekistan Airports and the Air Marakanda airline.
Representatives of international airlines, travel agencies, hotels, diplomatic corps accredited in Uzbekistan, and foreign media are taking part in the conference.
The event is held to demonstrate the capabilities of Uzbekistan in the tourism and aviation sectors to increase the number of foreign tourists in the post-pandemic period.
Representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Uzbekistan Airports JSC, regional hokimiyats and other agencies of the country are addressing the conference.
The participants are discussing issues of developing the tourism sector, the creation of travel packages convenient for foreign tourists, a demonstration of the tourism opportunities of each territory, improving the capabilities of Uzbekistan’s airports and increasing flights to Europe, Asia and the Arab countries.
