Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy emphasized their bilateral commitment to consistent measures to enhance effective cooperation

TASHKENT, December 14. /Dunyo IA/. On December 11, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, Sardor Umurzakov, has held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Luigi Di Maio, via videoconference, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, during the negotiations, the parties discussed the current agenda of Uzbekistan – Italy cooperation in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the prospects for development of industrial cooperation between the countries.

A positive assessment of the efficiency and growth rate of business partnership was given. The parties noted the successful participation of Italian companies in the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan, as well as the growing interest of Italian businesspeople in the implementation of new projects in various sectors of agriculture and industry.

An agreement was reached on creating a mechanism for effective interaction to deepen bilateral business partnership, including by organizing mutual visits of business missions of the two countries and joint events with participation of businesspeople.

Prospects for cooperation in innovation and support of youth entrepreneurship were considered at the meeting.

Following the talks, the parties emphasized their bilateral commitment to consistent measures to enhance effective cooperation in all areas discussed during the dialogue.
