The XIV Republican scientific practical conference on “Current
problems of organizing emergency medical care: issues of urgent surgery
in diseases and traumas of hepatopancreatoduodenal zone” was held in
Tashkent.
The conference, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Health
of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republican Scientific Center of
Emergency Medical Care and the Association of Emergency Medical Care
Physicians, was attended by representatives of leading medical
institutions of the USA, Russia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Turkey, as well as
domestic specialists.
Large-scale reforms on radical improvement of the emergency medical
care provided to the population that are being implemented under the
leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, contribute to overall
strengthening of public health. The decree of the Head of our state “On
measures of further improving the emergency medical care system” and the
resolution “On measures of further strengthening the material technical
base and organization of activities of the emergency medical care
system” of March 16 this year serve as an important legal basis in this
direction.
One of the priority directions of the state policy is the improvement
of the quality of medical services, strengthening health of the
population. Conduction by the President of a number of meetings with
responsible persons of the healthcare system, the adoption of more than
thirty decrees and resolutions facilitated the practical implementation
of efforts aimed at comprehensive development of the sphere.
The process of implementation of tasks outlined by the President of
our country in this direction, issues of improving the quality of
emergency medical care activity, expanding the scale of scientific
research, strengthening international cooperation were considered at the
scientific practical conference devoted to current issues of
organization of emergency medical care.
The conference was aimed at further improving the professional skills
of physicians, working in the emergency medical care system, issues of
organization of emergency medical care with liver disease, pancreas,
biliary tract damage, standards of diagnosis and treatment of diseases
of these organs, assessment of the role of mini-invasive and high
technologies in diagnosis and treatment were discussed in detail.
Advanced training of personnel will promote the wide dissemination in
the regions of the advanced achievements in medicine, ensuring
availability of modern medical care for all segments of the population.
So, for the last period of this year meetings were organized and master
classes were held with participation of foreign colleagues from Russia,
Germany, India, Austria, South Korea, Turkey, Ukraine, Azerbaijan. In
addition, more than 50 of our specialists have improved their skills in
leading clinics of developed countries. As a result, more than 200
thousand stationary surgeries were successfully performed in the
emergency medical care system, more than 1 million patients were
provided with outpatient care and more than 6 million calls – emergency
medical care.
More than 2,5 thousand patients underwent complicated surgical
operations in the cardiology department of the Republican Scientific
Center of Emergency Medical Care. Such operations as coronary artery
bypass grafting, replacement of heart valves, stenting of the coronary
arteries, installation of permanent single or dual chamber pacemakers in
patients, expansion of the mitral valve were conducted in treatment of
coronary heart diseases.
As it was noted at the conference, 1200 vehicles, specially equipped
for providing emergency medical care, were procured and supplied to the
regions this year in our country. The volume of financing the provision
of medical emergency care facilities with medicines has been doubled,
the level of centralized provision with medicines has been improved,
unified standards have been developed for 55 types of diseases, their
successful application has been achieved in practice.
During the conference, participants exchanged views on new approaches,
modern methods and effective solutions in treatment of gallbladder
diseases, acute inflammation of pancreas, elimination of complications
after traditional treatment.
A competition of young scientists and master classes were held within the framework of the event.
The conference will promote the activation of scientific research in
the sphere, popularization of advanced achievements and the exchange of
experience with leading world clinics, development of new promising
methods of diagnosis and treatment in emergency situations.
