Women's Committee of Uzbekistan and Hunarmand Association organized an international fashion week “Uzbekistan – Aspara Fashion Week” at Uzbekistan Fine Arts Gallery.
Representatives of various ministries and agencies, public organizations, employees of international organizations and diplomatic corps, foreign guests, domestic and foreign designers, fashion industry specialists were invited to the event on this occasion.
The event was also attended by leading designers, editors of fashion publications from the United States, Italy, France, Great Britain, Malaysia, China, Georgia, India and other countries.
At the press conference organized at the beginning of the creative project, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Women's Committee Tanzila Narbayeva, Deputy Chairman of the National Commission for Women, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yelena Tarasenko noted that cooperation in political, social, cultural-enlightenment areas is consistently developing between the two countries.
The event is aimed at further strengthening friendship between peoples, demonstration of rich culture and charm of national costumes to foreign guests and specialists of the sphere. This project will create an opportunity to preserve rich heritage of our peoples, art of costume and Asian identity, as well as strengthen competition between Central Asian designers, stimulate their creativity, open the way for young designers to attend shows on Central Asian and world podiums.
Best examples of world fashion, works of Central Asian talented designers, unique costumes in oriental style were presented at the event.
Within the framework of the fashion week, which will last until April 28, it is planned to hold meetings, master-classes, conferences and sign contracts.
