BERLIN, February 23. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Shashmaqom concert in Germany’s Berlin was held by the winner of the Nihol Award, a talented performer of Uzbek traditional and folk music Gulzoda Khudoynazarova, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
Gulzoda Khudoynazarova began a three-week tour to Europe as part of an international project organized with the support of Uzbekistan’s OXUS Culture and Germany’s AlbaKultur.
This year Uzbekistan and Germany are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The anniversary is dedicated to several thematic events, exhibitions and concerts that will be held in both countries for several months.
Gulzoda Khudoynazarova gave a concert in the German metropolitan concert hall named after Pierre Bouillet, captivating connoisseurs of folk music with unique performances, once again vividly demonstrating the unique intangible cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
Gulzoda Khudoynazarova with her team will also give concerts in Warsaw (Poland), Bielefeld (Germany), Brussels (Belgium), St. Gallen (Switzerland), Tours (France) and will complete the tour in Hamburg, Germany.
Gulzoda Khudoynazarova is known for her special timbre of voice, impressive singing style and extraordinary stage skills during concerts. She has received awards for performing Shashmaqom and Katta Ashula style music, included in the Representative List of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
