Various political, economic and cultural-enlightenment events are taking place in Uzbekistan within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit to be held in Samarkand on September 15-16, 2022.

Another such event attracted photographers from the organization's member states to Samarkand.

Photographers from India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Iran, Russia, Tajikistan and other countries, as well as Uzbekistan, are capturing the sights, historical monuments and places of worship of Samarkand.

Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan – Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov met with guests at Shah-i-Zinda Complex and wished them success in their creative work.

“This prestigious summit will further increase the assessment of the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in tourism, culture and art”, says Pakistani photographer Muhammad Ramadan. – At the same time, it creates a basis for demonstrating the creative skills of the photographers of the SCO Member States. Samarkand has many complexes and monuments built during the reign of the Timurids. I brought a photo of these architectural monuments to Uzbekistan and leave it here as a keepsake. The photographs will be presented at the exhibition to be organized within the framework of the summit.
