ISLAMABAD, February 6. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan hosted a meeting with the Executive Director of the Center for Global and Strategic Studies (CGSS) Khalid Taimur Akram, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
At the meeting, issues of wide celebration of the anniversary of the statesman and Uzbek poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur’s birth were discussed. An agreement was reached to organize a solemn event on February 11 at the University of Punjab
In particular, it is planned to hold a roundtable discussion with the participation of professors and teachers of the university, during which they will talk about the contribution of the Baburid Empire to the development of the subcontinent, discussion of the historical and cultural heritage of Central Asia in South Asia, as well as plans aimed at strengthening cooperation.
Along with this, the Embassy, together with the university, organizes an art competition “Great personalities of Uzbekistan” among creative youth, dedicated to such scientists and theologians from Uzbekistan as Alisher Navoi, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, Mirzo Ulugbek, Al-Beruni, Al-Fergani and others.
