Lal Bahadur Shastri Indian Cultural Center celebrates its 25th Anniversary

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and the Embassy of India in Uzbekistan organized an event in Tashkent on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri Indian Cultural Center.

 

The event was attended by representatives of diplomatic corps, writers and poets, artists, cultural figures and students.
 
It was noted that friendly relations between Uzbekistan and India people have a long history. Close relations have been established in trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres since the development of the Great Silk Road.
 
An exhibition of works by the Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, People's Artist of Uzbekistan, academician Akmal Nuriddinov, dedicated to Indian culture was presented at the event.
 
The event also included a concert. Poems by Indian poets were recited, songs and dances were also performed.
