Hungary to host the Uzbek Culture Days in 2022

BUDAPEST, January 30. /Dunyo IA/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary (with residence in Vienna) Abat Fayzullayev held talks at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Human Resources of Hungary and the OTP Bank Group, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

At the meetings, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as issues of preparation for the upcoming bilateral visits.

At the meeting with the Secretary of State for International Affairs of the Ministry of Human Resources Zoltan Lorinczi, agreements were reached on holding the Uzbek Culture Days in Hungary in 2022, which will include the presentation of the book “Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in Manuscripts Stored in Hungarian Libraries”, the Uzbek Cinema Days in Hungary and other events.

The parties also agreed to organize several joint events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.

It should be noted that cooperation in the banking and financial sphere has been intensifying recently between Uzbekistan and Hungary.

With the assistance of the Embassy, talks will soon be held with the Hungarian Eximbank on financing a project to supply more than 2,000 ATMs for the needs of the People’s Bank of Uzbekistan.

In early February, with the financing of the Hungarian bank, it is planned to supply 300 (then 200, in total 500 units) ATMs for Uzbekistan’s Microcreditbank.
