A concert devoted to birthdays of the great poet Alisher Navoi and the poet, statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was held at Turkiston Palace, in Tashkent.
At the event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, the audience was presented a musical program with participation of artists of the State Philharmonic Society of Uzbekistan and young performers.
Creative heritage of Navoi and Babur has a special place in development of classical music art of people. Musical works on ghazals of great poets have become a cultural treasure for art lovers. They are distinguished by perfection, originality, high artistic performance.
According to musicologists, songs on poems and ghazals of great ancestors contribute to enhancing the aesthetic taste and musical culture of listeners, increase love, attention and respect for the native language. Commonality in the works on development of music, visual arts, architecture, and activity on development of these spheres is clearly manifested in the works of Navoi and Babur. Amazing musicality of ghazals and rubais of these poets testifies to the deep insight of authors.
At the evening of poetry and music, artistic groups and vocalists sang songs and performed dances, reflecting the best human qualities – nobility, humanity, love and loyalty.
