A monograph on manuscripts of Alisher Navoi's works published

TASHKENT, February 5. /“Dunyo” IA/. A monograph “Manuscripts of Alisher Navoi’s works of the XV-XVI centuries” written by the Head of Department of the State Museum of Timurids History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Historical Science, Professor Abdumajid Madraimov, has been published, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The author explores the key artistic and aesthetic properties of Alisher Navoi’s “Hamsa” and “Lisonut-tair”. A comparative analysis of the drawings to these works with miniatures to the works of Abulqosim Ferdowsi, Farididdun Attor, Nizami Ganjavi, Amir Khisrav Dehlavi was also carried out.

The monograph contains valuable information about many manuscripts of Alisher Navoi's works stored in various museums, private collections and libraries around the world, and illustrations to them. In the Appendix, to his work, the author gives a brief description of illustrations made for the poem “Majolis un-nafois”.
