Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Netherlands Dilyor Khakimov met with managers of Marel Holding BV, in Boxmeer.
The company’s CEO Jesper Hjortshøj praised the ongoing transformation of the agricultural industry of Uzbekistan and implementation of various projects in the industry.
At the meeting, the company’s representatives assured their readiness to participate in creation and renewal of processing capacities of Uzbekistan aimed at increasing the potential of the range of produced agricultural products and ensuring its export opportunities for deliveries to international markets in the form of semi-finished products with high added value.
In particular, practical aspects of a poultry meat processing plant construction in Urtachirchik district of Tashkent region were discussed at the meeting. The project cost of the newly created enterprise is 10 million euros.
The parties agreed on the main steps of implementing this project and the visit of representatives of Marel Holding BV to Uzbekistan in early February this year.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the founder of “Sifatli Tovuq”, initiator of the plant’s construction Ibrogim Ikromov attended the meeting via teleconference.
