Formerly, people of Kashkadarya had to visit the capital, sometimes go abroad for treatment of cardiac or endocrinological diseases. Now the regional center itself – Karshi – will become an attractive place for medical tourism, as there are already modern clinics here equipped with the latest technologies.
During his visit to Kashkadarya in February 2017, the President gave instructions on opening branches of republican specialized medical centers of cardiology and endocrinology in Karshi. Over the past short time, the construction of two large medical centers has been completed.
On December 13, the Head of the state visited the centers, became familiar with conditions created for patients, with modern equipment.
Karshi branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific Practical Medical Center of Cardiology is equipped with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic equipment. Activity of departments of rehabilitation and cardio-ischemic diseases, chronic heart failure and arrhythmology, arterial hypertension, X-ray endovascular surgery, cardiac surgery, reception and diagnostic department, as well as polyclinics designed to receive 100 people a day will be organized here. Qualified physicians who have been trained in Germany, Russia and other countries are attracted. They will share their experience and knowledge with local colleagues.
Such diagnostic procedures and surgical operations as coronary angiography, ventriculography, angiography of vessels, stenting of coronary vessels, balloon valvuloplasty, occluder elimination of atrial and interventricular septum with occluder, valve replacement, treatment of acquired and congenital defects will be performed at the center.
So far, endocrinological assistance in the region has been provided in the regional dispensary with outdated equipment and treatment methods. The answer to the urgent need for modern endocrinology services has become the branch of the Republican Specialized Center of Endocrinology.
A new 150-beds clinic, organized at the initiative of the President, will serve as an effective prevention and treatment of such diseases. The team will become able to carry out 700-800 surgeries per year.
One of the innovations became the School of Diabetes. Here, qualified nurses will train people with diabetes to control themselves, children – to eat right, counting bread units, as well as factors for the occurrence and ways to prevent the diseases.
The work of these centers should be exemplary for all medical institutions. It is necessary not only to treat, but also prevent diseases, to increase the medical culture of the population, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President gave instructions on attracting qualified specialists to these medical institutions, further expanding the coverage and improving the quality of medical services for the population.
