Central Asian and Japanese experts’ meeting

Leading healthcare professionals from Central Asia and Japan held a videoconference on the fight against coronavirus.

 

From the Japanese side, the event was attended by representatives and experts from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the National Center for Global Health and Medicine, Medical Excellence Japan, a number of medical universities and hospitals, as well as pharmaceutical companies.
 
The Central Asian countries were represented by heads of departments of ministries of health and experts from leading medical institutions.
 
The participants exchanged information on the epidemiological situation in their countries, shared their experience on the effective treatment of coronavirus, as well as the use of various medications.
 
The Japanese side expressed its readiness to share its practical experience and develop cooperation with Central Asian countries.
 
Following the event, the participants reached an agreement to continue practical contacts between doctors and organize the next joint videoconference at the end of October 2020.
