The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan jointly with the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized Uzbekistan – Afghanistan business forum and B2B meeting. The event was attended by more than 200 business people.
The event is aimed at establishing sustainable and long-term cooperation with Afghanistan companies, further increasing the volume of exports of domestic products to Afghanistan market.
The delegation included more than 70 companies working in services, consulting, telecommunications, mining, construction, import and export of food products, kitchenware, natural stone, juices, sewerage and detergents producers.
Bilateral negotiations were held to discuss prospects for expanding mutual trade.
Following the forum, the parties signed 25 export contracts, as well as a Memorandum of Cooperation in the supply of oil and gas products to Afghanistan in the amount of 68 million USD. In addition, Uzbekistan CCI, khokimiyats of Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya regions are working on additional contracting within the framework of Uzbekistan – Afghanistan exhibition and IGC.
