Business meetings with Lithuanian entrepreneurs

On November 19, at the meeting of Uzbekistan and Lithuania businesspeople in Tashkent, guests noted that Lithuania could become an important starting point for Uzbekistan to enter Europe.

Representatives of Lithuanian companies Traidenis, MANTA CaWs, Vytautas Magnus University, Vilnius Business College, Kardiolita clinics held their presentations in the areas of cooperation. The forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan to discuss mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, investment, transport, communications and information technologies.

14 enterprises have been created in Uzbekistan with participation of Lithuanian investors. They operate in chemical, food, construction, pharmaceutical and tourism sectors. For the 9 months of 2019, the trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Lithuania amounted to 362.1 million US dollars. However, this does not meet the potential of the two countries.

The need was noted for increasing bilateral trade, the types of products and services supplied. At B2B negotiations, issues of establishing direct relations between entrepreneurs were discussed.
