/“Dunyo” IA/. An extraordinary plenum of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan was held, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
It was attended by members of the Central Council, the party’s faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, groups in the Councils of People’s deputies, heads of regional councils of the party, senior officials, as well as media representatives.
At the plenum, the issue of participation of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan in the snap elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, scheduled for July 9, 2023, was discussed.
After discussions, based on the requirements specified in the Electoral Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Charter of the PDPU, a decision was made on the participation of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan in the snap elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The participants discussed important issues related to ensuring the worthy participation of the party in this event. One of the main issues was the nomination of a candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the convening of a party congress, and forming its agenda and norms of representation.
At the plenum, the issue of nominating a candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan was discussed. The candidacy of Inoyatov Ulugbek Ilyasovich, recommended by voters, supporters, and activists of the party for the post of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was accepted for consideration at the party congress.
According to the Electoral Code, information about the future candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is provided to the Central Election Commission and other necessary documents.
Plenums of all territorial Councils of people’s deputies will be held to elect delegates to the congress.
