Ambassador of Uzbekistan Kadambay Sultanov, within the framework of his visit to the historical region of Latvia, Vidzeme, has met with the Mayor of Valmiera, Jānis Baiks.
Perspective directions of trade, economic, investment and technological cooperation with advanced industrially developed region of Latvia, the city of Valmiera, were discussed.
An agreement was reached with Jānis Baiks to organize in October a special briefing on the investment potential of Uzbekistan for leading companies-residents of Valmiera, to intensify interuniversity cooperation between Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov and the Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, including within the framework of MechaUz EU project.
