Agrobank supports projects on growing agricultural products, ensuring food security and developing cotton growing.
Resolution of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On measures to financially support the mechanization of the harvest of raw cotton” of September 15 this year serves as an important legal document in further development of the sphere. In accordance with the resolution, the share of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development in the authorized capital of Agrobank will be increased by million. These funds will be used to allocate loans to cotton-textile clusters and other entities for the purchase of cotton pickers of domestic production at the main rate of the Central Bank. Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, hokims of regions and districts have formed a specific list of applicants for cotton pickers in the regions.
Agrobank has allocated 435 billion UZS of loans. More than 400 cotton pickers have been delivered to Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Syrdarya, Tashkent, Navoi, Namangan, Samarkand regions for timely and high-quality cotton picking. Improving the situation in the sphere, of course, requires not only time, but also opportunities. The provision of cotton pickers can be considered the beginning of work in this direction.
