On October 8, 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel Zehavit Ben-Hillel, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
Accepting the credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on starting his mission in Uzbekistan and wished success.
The state and priority areas for further development of Uzbekistan – Israel relations, as well as interaction within the UN and other international organizations were discussed during the conversation.
The sides confirmed their mutual interest in realizing the existing significant potential for expanding cooperation in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.
Special attention was paid to the organization of inter-MFA consultations in the fourth quarter of this year via videoconference.
Views on some regional issues were also exchanged at the meeting.
Other issues on the general agenda were considered.
