Abdulaziz Kamilov attends meeting of India – Central Asia Dialogue

On October 28, 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov attended the second meeting of Foreign Ministers of “India – Central Asia Dialogue” via videoconference, Uzbekistan MFA reports.

The event was also attended by Foreign Ministers of India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
 
It was noted that this diplomatic platform, launched last year in Samarkand, is a popular and effective mechanism for expanding regional cooperation.
 
The Ministers discussed current issues of further strengthening relations between India and Central Asian countries in political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, tourism, cultural-humanitarian, environmental and other areas.
 
The importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the parties, coordination of efforts in the fight against cross-border challenges and threats in order to preserve peace and stability in the region was noted. The Uzbek side proposed to organize regular expert meetings to identify key regional issues.
 
The Ministers welcomed the results of the second India – Central Asia Business Council Meeting held on October 28.
