A Tourism Cluster to be created in Akhangaran district

Akhangaran district of Tashkent region with its picturesque nature, climatic conditions and holy places of worship captivates not only our compatriots, but also foreign tourists.

This oasis is surrounded on both sides by the Kurama and Chatkal mountain ranges, and the Akhangaran River flows in the middle. There is a varied landscape – forests, mountains, hills, a desert. This feature provides a variety of flora and fauna.

The district is considered a favorable zone for the development of ecotourism. According to experts, clean air is of primary importance for its development. That is why such places in Akhangaran district as Ertoshsoy, Ovjazsoy, Urgozsoy are especially popular among visitors.

In recent years, large-scale activity has been carried out in this district to improve the infrastructure. There are 80 guest houses in the district, which are visited daily by about 500-600 local and foreign tourists. In addition, 19 campsites, with a total area of ​​274 hectares, serve visitors.

Pilgrimage tourism is also developing in Akhangaran district. In Akhangaran, which has a long history, agriculture, animal husbandry, handicrafts and mining have been developed since ancient times. Today there are 204 cultural heritage sites. The most famous of them is the shrine of Shoabdumalik ota, where is planned to create the only tourism cluster in the country.

The Main Department of Cultural Heritage of Tashkent region plans to allocate 6 billion 500 million UZS to implement this project.

Several innovative projects for further development of tourism have been developed in Akhangaran district, and practical work has begun on their implementation. In particular, a project was developed and included in the state investment program to create a ski run on the territory of Yangiobod mahalla.
