A list of 400 volunteer translators has been formed from among teachers with certain experience in translation, and students of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages for the translation support of foreign delegations and guests who arrive in Uzbekistan to attend these events.
A reserve of 110 students has been also formed. 80 percent of teachers and students have been vaccinated with a booster dose of coronavirus. The team consists of translators from Russian, Chinese, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Turkish languages.
At the event, during which the preparation of the volunteer group of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages was discussed, the work carried out to date was analyzed, tasks for the future were defined.
“The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan will make special clothes for volunteer translators”, says Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. – On August 8, 10 and 12, special training courses will be organized at our institute with the involvement of specialists from the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Samarkand region and the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
Recommendations and instructions will be prepared for volunteer translators. Other issues related to the preparation for the forum were also considered at the event.
