Uzbekistan receives three awards at the International Film Festival in Minsk

“Dunyo” IA/. More than 40 countries and about 100 films took part in the Minsk International Film Festival “Listapad”, in Belarus. Uzbekistan received 3 awards, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The prize of the film festival “For the best director” was awarded to the film “Unbroken” by Shukhrat Makhmudov.

The film “The Fate of a Woman” (“Ayol Qismati”) directed by Dilmurod Masaidov received a special prize at the film festival “For the relevance of the theme of humanism and universal values”.

It is worth noting that this month the film also received the Grand Prix as the best feature film at the Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival.

The film directed by Akrom Shakhnazarov “101 Flight” was awarded a special award “Cinema Language – the Language of Friendship” by the interstate television and radio company “Mir”.

At a working meeting of filmmakers from the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Director General of Uzbekistan Cinematography Agency Firdavs Abdukhalikov was awarded a diploma of the CIS Executive Committee “For personal contribution to the development of cooperation between the CIS member states in cinematography”.

Uzbekistan was recognized as the leader in the number of film production among the CIS countries. A unanimous decision was made to locate the headquarters of the International Creative Union of CIS and Georgia Film Studios under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the city of Tashkent.
