President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with activities of “Jarkurgon meva-sabzavot export” LLC in ASG Group of companies, in Surkhandarya region.
At present, ASG Group includes 18 enterprises. Six of them, operating in Surkhandarya region, are engaged in cultivation, deep processing and export of agricultural products. In 2016-2017, products worth million were exported to China, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Turkey and the CIS countries. This year it is planned to increase the export volume to 0 million.
At the same time, there are 2 logistics centers on processing agricultural products in ASG Group of companies, in Surkhandarya region. Activities are being held on organizing logistics centers in Denau, Sariasiya, Altynsay, Angor and Muzrabad districts.
The Head of our state was presented the project of “Jarkurgon meva-sabzavot export” LLC on organizing cultivation of potatoes on French intensive technology in Denau district this year. This project provides for sowing 2 thousand hectares of area with potato seeds from France and introduction of rain irrigation. At the same time, the water consumption will be reduced four times, the yield from each hectare will be at least 50 tons.
The project costs 240 billion sums, including 60 billion sums – the company’s own funds, 180 billion sums – bank loan. The project will create 1,5 thousand jobs.
The President of our country noted that a scientifically based approach to agriculture is an important factor for achieving high productivity and meeting the needs of the population. Instructions were given on wide introduction of intensive technologies.
