Seven Russian specialists – epidemiologists, virologists, infectious disease specialists of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) arrived in Uzbekistan to work at the Agency for Sanitary Epidemiological Wellbeing and its subordinate organizations within the framework of the fight against the coronavirus infection.
They will consult in the fight against COVID-19 from August 23 to September 5, 2020.
During the visit, Russian specialists will become familiar with the current epidemiological situation related to the spread of coronavirus in Uzbekistan, as well as study in detail the mechanisms of surveillance and laboratories involved in diagnosis of COVID-19, medical institutions focused on treatment of patients with coronavirus infection.
In addition, members of the delegation will visit medical institutions in Tashkent, Samarkand and Jizzakh regions.
Experts from Russia will conduct scientific-practical events and online consultations. The possibility of implementing the best practices of Russia in the fight against COVID-19 in Uzbekistan has been also worked out.
