Participants of the First International Forum on Ziyorat (Pilgrimage) Tourism visited historical sites in Shofirkon, Romitan, Vobkent, Kogon districts. They became familiar with ziyorat tourism sites such as Mir Arab Madrasah, Masjidi Kalon mosque, Poi-Kalon Ensemble.
The Masjidi Kalon mosque is one of the outstanding monuments of Bukhara, dating back to the fifteenth century.
According to data from archaeological excavations, the original Karakhanid Juma Mosque was destroyed by fire and dismantled, apparently at the time of the Mongolian invasion. Sometime later, it was rebuilt, but this reconstructed mosque did not remain long. A new mosque was built in the fifteenth century, at the time of the Sheybanids, according to written sources of the time.
The historical sites of Bukhara made a great impression on guests.
