The Spanish side was informed about the process of democratization and modernization, as well as the goals and objectives of reforming the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Spanish parliamentarian noted that Spain is closely monitoring the reform process and changes in Uzbekistan, expressing firm support for the ongoing reforms and appreciating the positive changes and efforts of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to ensure peace and the progressive development of the country.
It was emphasized that taking into account the centuries-old history and tradition of political and cultural ties dating back to the 15th century, Spain attaches particular importance to the development of bilateral relations with Uzbekistan.
Ana Maria Pastor confirmed her participation in the upcoming 14th Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament (14SWSP) in Tashkent and expressed her readiness to meet with parliamentary groups to exchange experiences. She expressed her sincere gratitude for the invitation to the Summit of Women Speakers and congratulated the leadership and people of Uzbekistan on Independence Day.
