ANKARA, December 23. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ankara and the Consulate General in Istanbul, the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey hosted Uzbek Culture Days in Ankara and Istanbul, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
On the occasion of the opening of the Uzbek Culture Days, a concert was held in Ankara with the participation of Uzbekistan artists.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Olimjon Mirzayev, Ambassador to Turkey Alisher Agzamkhodjayev and Deputy Minister for Culture and Tourism of Turkey Özgül Özkan Yavuz, as well as representatives of the Turkish state and public organizations, foreign diplomatic missions and consulates, international organizations and our compatriots studying and working in Ankara.
The participants got acquainted with a photo exhibition “Uzbekistan – the Heart of the Silk Road”.
Deputy Minister for Culture and Tourism of Turkey Özgül Özkan Yavuz spoke about the cultural ties between the two peoples, whose history, culture and art are interconnected, as well as the results of joint projects. He noted that such events not only strengthen cultural ties, but also fraternal relations between the two peoples.
