The parties discussed joint work and plans.
As is known, the Uzbekistan Writers Union signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the unions of writers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. It was noted with satisfaction that, based on this cooperation, Kyrgyz writers visited Tashkent and participated in literary events.
At the event, the participants agreed on future tasks.
Sirojiddin Sayyid handed over a set of books and gifts to the guests. Sultan Raev solemnly presented Sirojiddin Sayyid with the medal named after Chingiz Aitmatov, People’s Poet of Uzbekistan Mahmud Toir – the medal named after Nizami Ganjavi, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Muhammadali Abdukunduzov – the medal named after Haldun Taner, members of the Writers Union Kaldibek Seydanov and Ergash Abduvalitov – medals named after Mukhtar Avezov. He also handed over souvenirs.
Both parties have stated that their creative relations will be further developed.
The guests visited the History Museum of Uzbekistan Writers Union, got acquainted with the life and work of prominent representatives of Uzbek literature.
