202 citizens of Uzbekistan in Russia received financial aid since the launch of “Mekhr” campaign

MOSCOW, May 17. /“Dunyo” IA/. On May 14, 2020, diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan in Russian Federation launched a social campaign “Mekhr” aimed at providing financial assistance to the citizens of Uzbekistan who faced challenges due coronavirus outbreak and introduction of quarantine in the country, informs “Dunyo” correspondent.

First 202 citizens received 1 million 200 thousand 960 rubles.

Among them are:

  • 190 students enrolled in full-time academic activities in the universities of Russian Federation;
  • 8 compatriots, who diagnosed positive for COVID-19;
  • 2 disabled citizens;
  • A compatriot raising children under 2 years’ old;
  • A compatriot at her 7th month of pregnancy.

Financial assistance to all Uzbekistani was transferred through bank to plastic cards in the form of a lump sum payment.

These are the first steps of “Mekhr” campaign. Subsequent actions to support the citizens of Uzbekistan will be taken soon.
